PARTICIPATION FEES
Myrtle Beach College does not charge tuition. This, however, does not mean that the program is free. All students are expected to pledge and make a monthly donation to the program, as the Lord has enabled them, to help defray the cost of their education. This obligation is part of our shared Myrtle Beach College Covenant.
When a person decides to become a MBC student, he or she becomes part of a faith based educational community. As members of that community, we willingly assume the obligation to help finance the educational program from which we benefit. And, even more importantly, we assume the obligation to help one another grow in knowledge and faith and to continue on the path that leads to life eternal.
There are three fees that apply to our students.
NOTE: Fees are waived for incarcerated students due to their lack of income. Incarcerated students are, however, expected to donate towards the cost of their education, as the Lord enables them. Those who can afford to pay the normal college fees are encouraged to do so.
Any potential or current student who is unable to afford the cost of attending MBC is encouraged to submit a Request for Financial Assistance through the Admissions Office.
TEXTBOOKS AND OTHER LEARNING RESOURCES
Students are reminded to allow for the cost of textbooks in their budgetary planning. All of the textbooks in the college program are available for purchase through retailers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble. They are also often available for rent and sometimes can be found in local and college libraries.
We recommend that all of our students consider Cengage Learning which provides a significant number of the textbooks used in the college program. (www.cengage.com) Students can have access through Cengage Unlimited to all of their Cengage textbooks for $179 per year (payable to Cengage). This cost includes Mindtap which is an online platform for courses offered by the college. There are other purchase plans available.

- A one-time $20 non-refundable application fee.
- There is a $75 per year administrative fee. This fee helps cover the cost of program administration and student record keeping. The fee is due within 14 days of acceptance into the college program. It is non-refundable.
- For students seeking academic credit there is an Academic Assessment Fee of $25 per exam. There is usually one exam in a one credit course. This fee helps cover the cost of developing, administering and grading examinations, recording course grades, maintaining permanent student records, and program administration. The fee is payable when you register to take a course.
